Having driven past this location many times, I finally gave in and went inside to try it out. I was indecisive about going here or hitting Chipotle.. did I ever make a mistake. When I noticed there were lots of cars in the parking lot, the good thought that ran through my head was that the food must be serving a quite a bit and therefore not laying out for too long. The selections are basically the same if you've ever walked into another chinese buffet place: lots of fried foods, lots of sauced up meals, etc. I tasted the two types of fried shrimp they had: one was panko coated and the other a tempura coated. Neither were anything interesting. Actually the tempura coated ones barely had any taste to them at all. One of the dishes served is a topped-in-mozzerella krabmeat with onions and peppers thing which was ok, again not much flavor. Their shrimp cocktail was over a nice mountain of glistening ice chips but no one (...and I mean no one!) was touching it so I stayed far from it even though they looked fresh. The pepper steak was bland though the onions and peppers were crisp and fresh, the fried calamari pieces was okay but a bit chewy like it becomes when not cooked right. I twice spit the food into a napkin: when I bit into a rolled sushi piece and when I bit into the veggie eggroll. The other bigger eggroll which I believe was pork was tastier but just by a bit. There were some dishes I didn't want to partake of. I was curious of the hibachi which is in the rear end of the place, the meats and veggies seemed to be fresh but again, I don't know. Do these places all order the foods from the same location? Or make them out of a common cook book? Right now I'm here trying to get this odd flimy flavor out of my mouth from eating there, it's there even after I washed my mouth out. I went in once to cure the curiosity but shall never be returning again. Oh. one last nitpick.. so I had gotten up and come back to find a napkin which had previously been on the floor and a cookie wrapper on the edge of the table I was dining at. Someone had picked stuff up and placed it there without caring that someone was still eating at the table. Uck.

As buffets go this one is clean, bright and the food was fresh and well prepared. A good deal for $6.99 + drinks.

This restaurant just reopened under a new name and "new management". It's exactly the same as it was before, only this time I was very disappointed. We got there just after they opened for lunch. The foods were lukewarm at best and the flavored were bland. Our server disappeared to get our drinks and didn't come back until well after we had visited the buffet and say back down then gave us the completely wrong drinks. He never returned to refill our drinks, instead we had to walk over to him at the bar where he was enjoying his own lunch and watching tv. I find this service completely unacceptable since there were only 2 other tables and both had their own servers. I honestly used to enjoy this place before it reopened, but now I won't be returning.

The big wooden buffet boat is a fun touch and the food is pretty decent. Of the things we tried, the Hibachi was good and the seasoned beef was a nice touch. There was a very small amount of lobster on the bar but whenever it was refilled, the Chinese-lobster-nazi nabbed all the good bits, so I wouldn't know what it tasted like since they only refilled it once and the rest of the time it sat empty. Green beans were crispy, pot stickers were fresh, sushi selection was small and not very original. There's room for improvement here and time will tell if it get's better or worse as they settle in.

This place is clean and has pretty good food. The price is excellent and the Habachi is great and they have a ton of food to choose from! I have been here a few times since it opened and the service is friendly. Sushi is just OK. The overall experience here is a great place for lunch any day of the week. If you just want french fries and chicken fingers they have that too. Roasted chicken is excellent every time.

Average for Chinese buffet. They do have a nice hibachi table set-up where they fix your food while you wait. Seth

Several good dishes on the buffet. They seem to prepare the food in smaller amounts than some buffets so it is fresh. The only problem I've had the couple of times I've gone there has been getting refills on drinks - they're rather slow about that. The prices are reasonable and, all in all, very much worth going - more than once.

This is your average run of the mill Asian food buffet. Nothing sticks out as particularly fabulous. The place was clean so that's a plus. The food was not fresh and many of the dishes looked questionable. They did have sushi though which was very fresh and very tasty! I would go for that alone! The service was good but I was constantly worried about getting charged for having anything left on my plate. Each table has a sign letting the patrons know that they would charge for left over food. Overall it's mediocre! It will satiate an american-asian food craving, but barely.

After going to the cinema for an afternoon showing, I decided to try World Gourmet for dinner. I had driven by here the last time I was in Altamonte Springs, so I thought I would visit this restaurant on my next trip out here. I will say that the interior of the restaurant is clean and well lit, and the service was friendly and very attentive to their guests. And the food is good. But there is something I have noticed about this and other oriental buffets I have been to. I will get to that later. As you enter, a large wooden boat gets your attention.Loaded with ice, selections of raw oysters, shrimp, fruit, and other chilled foods are available. To your right is a small bar featuring beer and wine. Past the boat, and there are several hot stations with appetizers, soups, and main courses. There is also a salad bar, a raw station with meats and vegetables for the grill, and sushi. As usual, I started off with the won ton soup and egg roll. Later on, I sampled the chicken wings spiced with curry, spring roll, and the barbecue ribs. For the main course, I had the vegetable lo mein along with chicken and broccoli. I also tried a shrimp and imitation crab dish that was good. For dessert, there was a station with cakes, pastries, and ice cream. Fruits and pudding are available up front in the boat. I do not know why some dessert items are set in the same station as appetizers. Which brings me to comment about this and several other buffets I have been to. I love raw oysters. But I only eat oysters that have been shucked within a timely manner. I must say that upon seeing oysters sitting out in a salad bar, not knowing how long the oysters have been there, I will pass. Not only on the oysters, but anything that is on that cart for fear of cross contamination. I also noticed that there was a problem with keeping food hot. A small steak filet I tried was tender, but cold. A piece of salmon I tried was just a bit warmer. Another problem I have is that after awhile, all of the oriental buffets seem to not only have the same fare, but the menu items all taste the same. I cannot think of anything that stands out. It is the same chicken, shrimp, and beef dishes. How about something different for once. For my dinner and drink (Diet Coke), the total came up to over $13.00. Like I said, the place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is good. There were several patrons that appeared to be repeat customers. Two ladies seated at a table near me had nothing but praise for their server. Another customer was having a conversation with a waiter about how good it was to be back after having worked out of state. So if there are repeat customers, someone must be doing something right. I may go back if I am in Altamonte Springs. And it will most likely have the same fare from the last time.

Food is okay, the place is all you can eat buffet with Chinese food and some typical American food like Mac n cheese and pizza. The employees are very nice and friendly and here to serve you. The food is nothing special and has about the same as all other buffet places near by. The quality of the food is not bad and the place seems to be well kept and clean. Four stars because the food was not bad but nothing to give it five stars, the reason I gave it four stars is because of the service. Try it out but if you want Chinese buffet there is plenty of them near by to choose from. Lunch is $7.59 and dinner is $10.99 not bad for brunch or just dinner.

Food was very good. They have a big variety. The service was great too. Went on a Saturday for lunch and it was not very busy. Our waitress even brought the Hibachi we orded to our table but maybe we're special. It's a shame we almost didn't go in due to earlier reviews but giving them one or two stars because they couldn't ask for a refill is dumb. I want to know if the food is good or not. People need to think about their actions. If the place only has 10 reviews your review will really affect their business. I don't think they deserve a low rating which is why I wrote my first review for them. Try it. The place is good.

Under new management, now called Panda Hibachi Buffet so no 10% from World Buffet. Food was mediocre, cheap. Some was dried out, others too greasy, some felt right out of the box. Even hot tea was Lipton tea bag. Service was ok, they kept the drinks filled and took the dirty plates in a timely manner.

It was ok. It was your typical Chinese buffet. The best part about it for me was the hibachi. That would be the only reason I would return. I would skip the buffet cooked foods and go straight to the hibachi counter.

Not the biggest variety, but they did keep items filled even with it being late. They didn't have hot and sour soup, but we asked for it and it was brought out shortly after. Nothing was BAD, everything pretty average. Service was good. Place was clean.

My wife, who's Korean, did not care for some of the dishes. They use a spice which has a weird aftertaste. However I have eaten in some San Francisco real Chinese restaurants and the spice is something common in real Chinese cooking, though I don't know what it is. The dishes I ate all tasted like standard Chinese fare, however I don't eat the spicy or sweet and sour items which was where most of the spice was.from the buffet to be recooked and sincerely apologized profusely. The chicken wings were a bit bloody, however e=when I brought it to my server, who had very limited English, she happily and promptly brought manager over who immediately removed the chicken. For me it' not abut the problem, but how it is resolved, and they did a great job. If I'm in the area again I would have no problem trying them again.

As far as all you can eat Hibachi buffets go, this one tips the scale in favor of 'good bang for your buck.' Lotsa proteins available to have cooked up with your choice of veggies and starches over at the hiabchi grill. The buffet included tons of poultry, seafood and beef selections. If you got kids, the typical chicken nuggs and pizza is there as well. One the cold bar you got oysters on the half shell and peel and eat shrimp. I don't know about oysters at a buffet but friends tried it and gave it a thumbs up. Got the scoop your own ice cream with a plethora of other sweet treats for dessert. Friendly staff and a cool little promotion they do (if your ticket number's last digit matches the number of the day ((randomly selected, ours was 8)) you get a BOGO meal offer) makes this a joint I wouldn't mind visiting for seconds, or in this case thirds and fourths like a true American fat ass. 8 bucks for lunch 11 for dinner isn't too bad when you consider what you might shell out for mall Chinese (which this pretty much equates to). Only real gripe about this place was the fortunes in the freebie cookies that came with the check. Seriously, who writes those things these days?!?!?

Avoid this place. It has some serious food temperature issues. I went in for lunch around 1:15. The first thing I tried were the pork dumplings; they were ice cold. So, I couldn't get my waitresses attention (apparently waiting tables is beneath her) so I took them to the front counter. The lady took them from me and I went back to try something else. The shrimp egg foo yung was tepid. That is a recipe for disaster! Then the cook came out with more dumplings, but he just dumped them on top of the cold ones! I tried a bite or two of many things (avoiding the seafood for obvious reasons) and it was mediocre at best. Also, the floors are slippery, they aren't scrubbing them down, rinsing them or simply not cleaning them daily. I doubt this place will be open in a year but it doesn't matter, because I will never eat there again.

Was in the mood for a decent Chinese buffet locally, so I found this spot on yelp. First I will say the food was decent, better then most Chinese buffets in the area. The reason I gave them one Star was the poor customer service I received. My waitress never came back to ask if my family needed any refills. It's not my job to hunt you down. My family didn't even get a chance to finish our desert when she showed up with the check. Smh! trying to rush us? The floors were greasy as hell in there I could barely walk. Not going back

Fourth visit here. First was great. Next two dropped a bit but food was back up to better quality for the most part. Egg tarts, General Tsao's chicken and sushi were amongst the best.

Not a bad buffet. A goof price for your average Chinese buffet. The hibachi is an added bonus if you want something fresh. I tip the sushi chef 5 bucks to get good size amounts of sashimi cut fresh. As always don't go to Chinese buffets an hour before closing for best results.

Soggy, poor quality food poorly prepared. The worst Chinese buffet between Orlando and Longwood. Ambience is dreadful.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
